wait. now. go now.

Choreographed by
Johannes Wieland
The world premiere of German choreographer Johannes Wieland’s wait. now. go now. Johannes Wieland is the Artistic Director/Choreographer of the resident dance company at the State Theatre of Kassel, Germany. Johannes talked about his idea in terms of how we experience our lives and how we perceive others, trying to combine our inner experience of ourselves with how others see us. Often these perceptions collide and don’t mesh. What we think we want and what we think is important for us, what we know and have experienced with ourselves and others, collides with our hopes and fears for the future. And we often get caught trying to hold onto things that have already changed. Johannes also compiled the score for his work, which has the effect of a collision of ideas; a mash up of references from our past which supports this idea of getting stuck in a kind of rabbit hole of experience, between the past and future, our interior and exterior lives.
