I owe the inspiration for ‘Passenger,’ to the imaginative scope of American composer John Adams,” say executive artistic director David Shimotakahara. “His work for string quartet and prepared piano is aptly titled ‘John’s Book of Alleged Dances’ because they set in motion a huge range of movement responses. It is as though he is taking us on a wild and mysterious trip across cultures and time. The dancers and I have truly enjoyed the ride.
