When it comes to dancing, GroundWorks DanceTheater’s 10th Annual It Takes Two Benefit will be Nancy Osgood‘s debut performance. Unless you count her winning a limbo contest in the 6th grade. As a fervent supporter of the arts, Osgood, president of The Osgood Group, a management consulting firm that helps social sector clients improve performance, effectiveness, and sustainability, is excited to play a role as a dancer at the highly anticipated event that takes place on April 28th at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
“For the last few years, I’ve wanted to focus on actually doing arts and culture rather than just supporting it,” says Osgood. “I think GroundWorks is incredible, and it is organizations like them that make the city cool and rich with culture.” Osgood also notes that Groundworks is an important partner to an arts organization she helped found: ChamberFest Cleveland.
Osgood has surrounded herself with the arts, in her career and her personal life.
“I work mostly with non-profits, many of them being arts and culture focused,” she says. “I also started taking singing lessons a few years ago and can now occasionally embarrass myself as a very amateur jazz singer.”
“I’m looking forward to this. GroundWorks is a fantastic organization and very much worth supporting,” says Osgood. “It attracts a fun crowd, and I’m meeting so many interesting people.”
Osgood supports a variety of other Cleveland organizations such as Apollo’s Fire and the Lawrence School.
