Margaret Richards Frankel grew up in Shaker Heights where her interest in the arts began at a young age. For 10+ years Margaret was a dedicated student at the School of Cleveland Ballet. During that time , she was privileged to dance with the company.
As an adult Margaret pursued a career in dentistry after earning her degree in Political Science and Political Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Case School of Dental Medicine. While at Case, she learned to combine her love for visual art with her passion for dentistry. She believes world-class dentistry is about the blending of health, technology and art. Looking at her career through this lens, her dance background has positively impacted her point of view – personally and professionally – each day she steps into the office.
Margaret is a highly engaged member of the Cleveland Community. In 2014 she was named the Ambassador Milton and Roslyn Wolf Young Campaigner of the Year by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. In 2015 she was honored as one of Cleveland Jewish News “18 Difference Makers.” She has also been featured in the CWRU Alumni magazine which highlighted the way that she gives back through dentistry.
Margaret maintains a family dental practice in Lyndhurst – Richards Frankel Dentistry. She resides in Shaker Heights with her husband Jonathan and their two year old daughter, Scarlett. She is thrilled to be given the opportunity to dance again, and for a great cause.
