Stellar Parallax

Dressed in white,
color in its purest form
your body rocks back and forth,
the tongue flexing its muscles
as you parody your peers.

Shrouded in darkness,
your arms flail like propellers,
illuminated by spotlights,
which highlight
every twist and contortion,
every twist and contortion.

This isn’t your first rodeo,
You’ve waltzed this way
through many miles.
But for whom?
for yourself or
for others?
