Taylor Johnson



Dancer: Recipient of Arts Enrichment Fellowship, toured with the Arts Fusion Initiative, co-created “Afflictions of a Barren Woman” for The Abbey Theater, performed in the Limon anniversary at the Joyce, performed in Fall for Dance at City Center, created/directed a summer program for the Salvation Army; received a BFA from The Juilliard School.

Taylor Johnson, 23, is a Columbus native and recent graduate of The Juilliard School of Dance (Class of 2016).

She is versed in a wide range of styles of dance as well as improvisation, classical & contemporary partnering and dance composition. While at Juilliard, she performed works by Kate Weare, Jose Limon, Risa Steinberg, Merce Cunningham, Jennifer Goggins, Eliot Field, Brian Brooks, Laura Glenn and Camille A. Brown. Following graduation, Taylor performed in Lauren Adams’ “The Rock Below” at Salvatore Capezio Theater and choreographed “Affilictions of a Barren Woman” with three colleagues, which debuted at The Abbey Theater of Dublin.

Taylor participated in “Into the Sun,” a creative collaboration between seven artists, at the Arts Fusion Initiative and toured widely in Kansas and Missouri. In addition to becoming the newest company member of GroundWorks, she teaches modern technique to students ages 10 to 17 at Columbus City Ballet School.
